Roses, Roses, Projects, Projects

I'm still on a rose kick this week, and I'm a little delirious.  I've been fighting off a bug for the past four or five days.  It didn't knock me out completely, just slowed me down a bit.  Little projects are perfect right now.

I used a metal rose fragment to create this tiara.

Now, I'm not quite finished with this next project yet.  I painted and plastered more fabric roses, and attached them to this frame.

I transferred one of my images to an old piece of wood I painted white.  Then I distressed it, and cut it to fit the frame.

I'm not finished with it because, I think the roses and frame need to be a light grey with a dark undertone.  What do you think?  I'm  happy with the texture, but they look like they've had the death touch.

I have so many things I'm working on simultaneously.  Here's a hint at another creation.

Can you figure out what I'm doing?  I'll have a lot more to share soon.

  20. I love your latest projects! All of the tiaras are so creative and original! I think you're right about the roses frame. It may be less funeralish in a lighter color LOL! I do like the dark too though. Tough to decide really. I love everything you do! Hugs, Leena

  21. The crown is lovely Rosemary. And I love the darker color of the frame, it seems to fit it! When you find things in empty places that have sat unloved for many years it has that darker look to it. It makes me wonder who loved it... Can't wait to see it finished and what you are making with crystals??? A crystal crown maybe?? Whatever, I am sure it too will be lovely! My turn at a crown will come...hope you have a list going!!! Also hope you are feeling better, you need to take care of yourself, slowing down...yeah right!
