Framed Clock Face

My latest clock face painting.

The demand for my clock faces continues.  Here's another variation.

This frame was just perfect for one of my hand painted clock faces.  So, I cut a piece of wood to fit, and went to work.

After painting, framing, and distressing my clock face, I thought there was too much blank space.

I didn't want anything too busy, because it would fight for attention with the frame.

I decided on a simple band of distressed white.  It was just enough.

It's 37" from top to bottom, and I'm loving it.

I used the homemade paint recipes from my Farragoz course for the frame, and the clock. I haven't decided if I'm going to antique it yet.

What do you think?

  1. I think it would look really nice antiqued...but it's beautiful just as it is. Great job as usual!

  2. Oh my goodness--this is my favorite so far! I think the antiquing would be nice but like it as is too. I love the color of the face--kind of a dusty purple? I'm in love! :)

  7. The patina is so lovely. I am not sure about the antiquing over the frame. I would try a touch of gray glaze to see if that would work for you.
