This is what I started with.
I removed the slats from the interior, fixed the door, and used a grey primer. I applied multiple layers of grey (with a hint of blue) and white in a drybrush fashion. After a little scraping and sanding, I had my perfectly imperfect cabinet.
I changed the original pulls to these handles. They are far more substantial and add an architectural feel.
The interior got a nice striped wallpaper in a complimentary color.
