5 Day Sale?

I'm starting to recover from my five day garage sale.  Yes, I said five days.

You see, my sale officially started Thursday.  However, I had a few customers on Wednesday.

Thursday,  I met a blog follower, and FB friend, Mj.  We're ridiculously close to each other, and didn't know it.  Mj was a power shopper, and lots of fun.

Friday, it rained.  We had a late start, and only got in about 3 hours of selling.  I was actually thrilled to have a shorter day, it was a nice breather.

Saturday was sunny.  While I was selling, hubby hit a few sales, and came back with this oil painting of roses.

Nice.

Officially, Saturday was suppose to be my last day.  We were planning to pack up the van with items, and set up at the local flea market.  However, even with hubby and the boys doing most of the work, I just wasn't up for it.  Hey, why not extend the sale another day? So, that's what we did.

Over the course of the 5 DAY sale, I sold a bunch of metal (hardware, appliques, thingamagigs.....)

I also sold lots of vintage letters, and numbers.

I sold furniture, wood parts, finials, fence sections......

Paint was a big seller. I didn't realize how much paint I had stashed until my sons pulled it all out onto the driveway.  I wish I'd taken a photo of the paint pyramids we had going.  I sold bags of craft paint, boxes of one gallon pails, and half used cans of spray paint.  Oh, it was cheap. Loved seeing it go.  I had so much paint I never use. Bye, bye.

The lady who purchased this two drawer stand I redesigned was so happy I held it long enough for her to run to the ATM, she gave me a big hug.

There are so many photos I wish I'd taken, but, the goal of this sale was to get rid of as much as possible.  I was seriously focused. I gave some great deals, to some very appreciative buyers.

I've done a lot of cleaning, organizing, and purging over the past two weeks, with the help of my team. I'm much happier with the state of The Abyss, and, my brain.  The chaos was hindering my creativity.  Ideas are bubbling already.

See ya soon.
