Since starting my blog last month, I have been flattered and a bit overwhelmed by the number of complimentary emails and comments I've received from my new friends in blogland. In going through them all, certain questions seem to keep popping up. This would be a very long post if I answered them all, so I will just focus on those most frequently asked.

Question:
Where do you get your inspiration?

Answer:
Everywhere, but quite often my inspiration comes from the things I own. My header is a section of a gate I found at a city-wide sale some time ago. I love the fact that the gates finish varies from white, to slightly mossed, to rusty. Take a look at this section.

Now look at the roses on my "Drama Queen"....

Question:
Where do you get your embellishments?

Answer:
I have been redesigning furniture and accessories for years, and during that time, I've collected appliques, fragments, and whatchamacallits from garage sales, flea markets, antique shops, thrift stores, resale shops, curbside, etc. I honestly don't remember where some of them came from originally. When I find a piece that works well as an embellishment, I use and/or reproduce it. Sometimes I make molds, sometimes I freehand, sometimes I combine things. So, I guess you could say that I am the source of my embellishments.

Question:
Do you sell your embellishments?

Answer:
I'm working on making them available. When I'm up and running, I will let you all know.
