Day One

I'm soooooo tired.  Two shows back to back.  Believe it or not, once upon a time, I did this every week.  I have day one down at Kane County.  Between the intense sun streaming through the window, and me moving a little too fast, I never really got a good shot of my booth.  Again, things were going before I was properly set up.  Actually, I don't think I was ever properly set up.

I have one iron rose fence panel left.

Frames were popular.

Two customers loved my large gold leaf metal roses and wheat.  They bought bundles.  I used them as hand models.

I had them sprinkled around, but they didn't stay displayed very long.  I think I have one left.  Yes, I sold my steel table in the background, and the large barrel.

How do you like my vintage birdies.

My chair when quick, and I could have sold it many times over.  It had a dark finish.  I gave it an aged cream finish, and left the original upholstery.

Every shot I had with my vintage black wicker hamper was horrible, so here is a pic I took before we loaded.  I love the feet.

That's all I have time for.  I'm taking a few additional items tomorrow.  Gotta get some rest.  One more day to go.

  6. Do take care, drink water. You have my got my nurse self wanting to be sure you do not exhaust your self. It is so hot here I almost became dehydrated while going to about 50 yard sales yesterday. So I have to listen to myself too. I love that black wicker piece. I have a similar one I dug out of the trash. I have no shame. hugs, olive

  7. I love that you got those gals to be hand models for your photos. That's so fun. Glad things are going so well for you, but I agree that you need to make sure you're taking care of yourself. Big hugs.

  8. You must be exhausted, Rosemary! I love that you share these shows with us. Even with all the work and hours you put into it, I'd love to do one myself one day. I passed on a lot of furniture pieces I saw at the community garage sale here that I would have snatched up if I had a booth or did shows. I just have nowhere to store them for any period of time.

  14. That's a good problem to have.....selling things before you can get properly set-up! I wish I lived near there so I could come to your show. I adore the frames and the chair that you sold!

  15. I didn't realize we were from the same area! I have actually never even been to the Kane Country Fair, I hope to go soon though, I'll keep an eye out for you!! I'm just starting out selling my furniture and have been thinking about selling at the fair. But I've been so busy with client's furniture that I haven't had time to get my own stuff done!
