Paper Love

I'm still up to my eyeballs in paper, and, loving it.

I actually love working with paper. Which is one of the reasons I have sooooooo much of it.  When scouring garage sales, flea markets, etc., over the years, it never bothered me if the paper was damaged.  Eventually I would find a way to repurpose it.

As always, I'm very grateful for how well my wreaths, and, trees have been received.

Various shapes,

and sizes are being requested.

The wreaths continue as well.

I made a detachable banner for this one.

You can find some of these on Etsy.

November is breezing by.  My birthday is on the 21st, Thanksgiving is on the 26th, and, my last show of the year will be the week after that.

Needless to say, I'm going to be busy, busy, busy.

Hmmmmm, maybe I'll rest on my birthday.  Maybe.

Angel Ornaments and Upcoming Market

I took a little break from wreaths,

to make angel ornaments,

I used linen cardstock, which has a nice textured surface.  Charcoal ink, and, white paint was used for the design.

A little glitter, and, tinsel was added, along with a wire for hanging.

I did not neglect the back.

I'll be taking some of my ornaments to the Chesterton, IN "Mistletoe Market" on December 5th.

Working on stacked paper trees too.  This one has sold already.  So, I have a bunch more to make.

Is it just me, or, is this year winding down fast?

I'll continue to list on Etsy, while getting ready for my show.

My Friend Vera

If you haven't had a chance to visit my friend Vera at Row Homes and Cobblestones, you should.

Notice anything familiar in the photo above?

Yes, Vera shared what she did with the wreaths she purchased from my Etsy shop.

Vera has been one of my biggest cheerleaders, and, I'm always excited to see what she does with the items I created.

Remember the metal urns I cut out?

and, my angel from last year.

Vera has such a talent for display, and, she's a gifted poet.  You can check out her blog HERE.

As for me, I'm still at it.  Filling requests, and, trying to stash some for my show next month.

See ya.

Vintage Paper Wreaths

The wreath making continues.

As you know, I've been making them with book pages, and, they've been selling very well.  A great big thanks to all my customers.

I've been giving some of them extra character with color.

For my concerned readers,  I'm not tearing up valuable books (I know better). I'd be selling the books if that were the case.  Cause, I could use a fortune. LOL

Now, I'm also making them with vintage paper, which I believe is from the Art Deco period.  I honestly don't remember how long I've had this big roll.  An estate sale find from years ago.

No, it's not worth a fortune either, but, It's perfect for some of my wreaths.

Not only am I making wreaths for Etsy, I'm also getting ready for one last show next month.

I'll share more info soon.
