Weathered and Rusty

I'm in weathered and rusty mode.

I've been creating some of my salvaged metal crowns.

I gave this angel crown the rusty patina you see here.

I added the weathering to these vintage clothespins, and, added the numbered tacks as embellishments.

I gave the tacks a little extra aging as well.

This vintage metal flower got a little extra patina.

I've also been going through my stash of vintage hardware.

The patina is natural on this ornate drawer pull,

and, on this beautifully weathered vintage cherub finial.

I'm still amazed at how much vintage hardware I've managed to accumulate over the years, and, I'm letting a lot of it go.

Everything is available in my Etsy shop.  I'll be adding similar items all week.  I have more digging, and, creating to do.

  1. Every piece is something special, but those wonderful clothes pins now belong to me! I just love them and purchased them, cant wait till they arrive.

  2. Thanks Karen. I'm listing more of the clothespins. The first four sets sold quickly.

  3. Gorgeous creations as always Rosemary. I love your sweet little crowns and those clothespins are so clever. Thanks so much for sharing at Vintage Inspiration Party.

  4. Such heavenly pieces. I love them all.

  5. Gorgeous! I love the crowns!

  6. Rosemary,
Your crown transformations are always inventive and beautiful. I will be headed over to your etsy shop to see all the beauty you are listing. The hardware sounds so interesting.

  7. Those clothes pins are just amazing! And you know how I adore your crowns.
