I do know that I'm much happier with them like this,
rather than this. I picked them up at an estate sale this past weekend. I loved the fact that they were a pair, but that spray painted finish. Not so much.
They're made of plaster, and vintage. I wanted to give them a softer feel.
This is basically my "Old World" finish, with some dry brushing on top.
I just kept layering till I was happy. Maybe.
I'm still playing with my colorful book pages too. I'll show you some of my variations soon.
See ya.

Gorgeous, Rosemary! So much better than the "gaudy gold"! I think you are done:)
Beautiful! first thing I thought how beautiful they would be hanging from the garden trellis or entrance.
Stunning! I have a goldish angel too that I picked up a few years ago at a garage sale. I might have to take a stab at your look. =)

Those are sweet angels ~ you can't go wrong with them!
I am in the mood to put glitter on everything
I don't know if you have ever sprinkled glitter on your angels?
I have some angels similar to these tucked away just waiting for your old world finish. Thanks for more inspiring photos to pin! I love 'em, and can't wait to see if you add another layer of fabulousness.
Hi Rosemary, I love the finish on the angels...they are adorable. Thank you for joining the Open House party this week.
xx, Sherry
Isn't it amazing how different they can look with just a little paint. Beautiful transformation Rosemary. Thanks for linking up at Shabbilicious Friday.
