SUPER BUSY

I'm super busy today.  However, I wanted to share one of my redesigns. The weather is crazy here today. I took these outside shots quickly between raindrops and high winds.

I kept the top the same.  For added durability, I used primer before applying  multiple layers of white gesso. You can review my gesso tutorial here. I then finished with a stain and poly mix, which I applied and wiped back with a dry rag.

Remember the before?

You can't see it in the pic above, but the table in back had a huge chunk missing from one of the feet. I filled in the chunk, molded it, sanded, and went at it.

Some distressing gave it the look I wanted, which was an antiqued white.

OK, break time over. I have some great finds, and another cool gesso effect to show you soon. Here is a hint.

  34. Oh my goodness, I love these tables! You did a beautiful job on them, they look stunning. I have 2 tables that are almost identical except they're round and I was kind of at a loss what to do with them because I didn't want to ruin the pretty tops. Great work! I love your blog! :)
