Back To Horseshoes

I just finished a couple of my vintage horseshoe handled boxes.

It's been awhile since I've made one.  Sometimes I go back to an older design idea, and, wonder why I took a break from it.

I built them both with salvaged wood, and, used various pieces of vintage hardware and salvage for ornamentation.

I've made many over the years.  The first one I shared here was over 4 years ago.  You can see the original post by clicking HERE.

It's still one of my favorites.  So is this one.

So, now, I'm back to horseshoes, and, working on various designs.

Going back to work now.

  1. What a cool box. I love the way you use the horseshoes. You must have a very good stash of them! I just peeked around a bit, your blog is lovely and you have so many pretty items. I wish I lived closer and could come to one of your sales!

    1. Yes, as a fellow creative soul, I'm sure you can relate to sometimes having way too many ideas in your head, shelving one for a while, and, coming back around.
