Finish It

Finishes are what led to the name of my blog.  A customer of mine said my weathered finishes  looked like they came from an old chateau or "villa". This was some time ago. I started using "villabarnes" as my email address.  When I started my blog, that's the name I went with.  Here are some of the finishes I shared in 2011.  You'll be seeing more this year.  Click on the title to review posts.

I've dripped,

laced and transfered,

and appliqued.

I can't tell you how many pieces I've worked on in 2011,

However, I will be sharing many with you in the coming year.

Like how I use everyday items as inspiration,

and duplicate the look. I just finished this guy.

Wishing all my readers and followers a very Happy New Year.

Hmmm, I always wondered the origin of your blog's name. I personally love it. It sounds very classy and sophisticated. I actually thought it was your last name to be honest. Perhaps you should change it to that. I think it flows nicely with your first name. Sounds like royalty! LOL.

Happy New Year!

Great work by a great artiste! Your tireless effort is an inspiration to all of us. I wish I had some of it. I use to ten years ago and beyond. I've slowed down a bit now but still love to create and turn something old or new into something different. Half the fun is how it all turns out!
