Plaque Rack

Just wanted to share a project I completed before my show.  I was going to take this metal crown plaque with me, but decided not to.  It was a nice  plaque, and I wanted to add a little functionality to it.  In a previous post, I shared a fan rack.  So, I decided to do the same thing with my plaque.  Right now, it's hanging in my studio.  Pretty much any flat, or semi-flat item with a hole in it can become a rack.  I have other examples I'll show you soon.

You saw this plaque in one of my studio photos.  It was dark metal, and the details didn't stand out at all.  I painted it white.

I distressed it to bring out the details, and added a small knob to the lower hole.

I'm so glad I didn't take it.  My show was successful, BTW.

  23. I remember seeing that plaque in one of your earlier posts and just loved it. that was a creative idea to add a knob to it and turn it into a hanger of sorts. Glad to hear that your show was successful too. Now you can finally rest a bit!
