I have been tearing into projects so fast and furious lately, that I forget to take a before pic. I thought I had one for this redesign, but I didn't.
This is an old magazine stand I painted white, and distressed with a coarse sanding pad.
The glass was on a table I redesigned. I didn't want the glass after I was finished, so I just put it away. After I finished the stand, I wondered if the glass would fit on top.
It did. Now, it can be a table,
a display case,
or just a plain old mag or book stand.
My intention was to create a complimentary piece for one of my favorite iron urns.
Remember the firescreen table in my living room?
So many things can become a table. If it has a flat top, try a piece of wood, glass, marble, etc., to create an interesting piece of furniture.
I'm working on a really cool piece. Check back to see what this is.

Rosemary once again a great job!!!
Oh, this is really pretty. And once the glass is on top of it, you wouldn't guess it was a magazine rack. Genius.

Hi Rosemary! Thanks for your nice comments on our posts. Great to see you, too. Any way we can persuade you to keep the pieces you told us about to bring to Kane? Joe and I were looking at the calendar and not seeing an open spot to come by...let me know if that might work. Thanks, xo
