Cute Little Things

I seem to be finding all sorts of things to make and paint during these cold months here in the Midwest.

Lots of cute little things.  This chippy tin heart is one of them.

I cut this little heart from salvaged tin, and, gave it this chippy paint treatment.  I don't remember how many layers of homemade paint I applied, before bending the heart in spots to get the chipping.

After the chipping, I sealed it.  A vintage key, and seam binding finish it.

It seems nothing is safe, including some of my bottles.

A weathered white paint treatment, followed by sealer, gave it the look of frosted glass.

I'm painting some of my metal roses,

and finials.

  2. Very pretty. I love your "old paint" look. It looks authentically old which is not an easy look to achieve, but you certainly have mastered the skill.
