Playing With Beads

Today was one of THOSE days.  Stress, deadlines, blah, blah, blah.  After getting all the necessaries out of the way, I played with beads. Still keeping it simple with the Christmas decor.

The old can in the background was given a small string of beads.  Got any old tin cans lying around?  Jazz em' up with a little bling.  These silver beads add a nice festive touch, don't you think?  I have bags of these things.  They look like bubbles when the light hits them.

I added a plastic rose I spray painted silver.

I won the galvanized piece (one of two), and the Eiffel Tower in a giveaway from Kim at LaBelle Epoque a while back.  They make a nice addition to my Christmas decor.  I used my "Dimensional Paint" technique to add the fleur-de-lis to the rock.  A nice little frenchy vignette.

Playing with beads helped me decompress.  Movie time.  See ya soon.

  2. Very pretty, Rosemary! I've got some strands of silver beads in my craft room. I should use them to decorate with since I haven't used them on a project yet.

  6. Your display is so lovely, Rosemary, that I can't imagine what you would have come up with if you had been "working" instead of "playing"! xoxo

  7. Oh, yes, I understand the therapeutic properties of arranging vignettes. It's one thing you can do, and make pretty and right, even if everything else is falling apart. The dimensional paint on that rock is really wonderful, Rosemary. Is it through a stencil?
