Cloche Vignette and My Other Tree

I added a few festive touches here and there today.  Still keeping it simple.  This wire bird cloche was part of a giveaway I won earlier this year, from Sherry at The Charm of Home.

It was black when I got it.

I gave it several washes of a paint and plaster mix, which dried to a soft grey.  I left hints of the black.

Inside are a couple sprigs of pine, and two glitter covered birds.

I like the way it looks in front of my distressed mirror.

My husband and I came across an estate sale the other day.  This trellis was leaning against the garage.  I asked about it, and the owner said it was garbage.  I took it.  I figured I could cut the other side, to make it symmetrical.

Hmmmm, if I do that, it'll kinda look like a tree.

Remember that pile of pine branches I had in the basket?

I used some of it to cover the trellis, and added a little beading.

I'm not finished with it, but you get the idea.  Actually, I won't be adding a lot more. Maybe tiny lights.

  24. That tree is genius!! It reminds me of living in our tiny student apartment, we had a fake tree inherited from my in-laws, the old fashioned kind where you put on each branch... We would just put a quarter of the branches on and stick it in the corner :) I love yours! Stopping by from Wow Us Wednesday's!
