Drab to Fab Frames

If you saw my last post, you know it's been snowing like crazy in my area.  While waiting for the snow to melt (hopefully soon), I've started going through some of my plain frames, and, giving them a bit more character with paint and appliques.

Sorry, I don't have the before photos.  I was too busy diving into the transformations.

I created these appliques using castings from some of my salvaged findings.  If you've been following me for any length of time, you know I have an enormous stash of metal bits and pieces.

This pair sold quickly on my Etsy shop to one of my favorite customers.  Thanks Mary.

This frame was quite plain.  I added the cherub and ornate bits.  I used it to frame a piece of board I painted and transferred a Paris print onto.

I've always loved the shape of this old frame.  It was lying in the back of my garage.  But, again, it was a plain jane.  Not anymore.

I have more plain janes to pull out.  Some will be available in my Etsy shop.  You can visit by clicking HERE.
