Which Urn?

Which urn appeals to you?

I gave this urn layers of antique white, and, a bit of chipping?

Or, this urn, I shared a while back?

I wiped on, and, off, various shades of grey, green, cream, and, brown to get this effect.

So, if you had to pick, which urn would it be?

Spring Sale

With the warmer temps, I've been cleaning, organizing, creating, and, contemplating.  WAIT. Did I say warmer temps.  It's snowing today.  That's right, I said IT'S SNOWING.  I so love Illinois. In the 80's and, sweating one day, 30's, and, shivering the next.  Well, I'm just going to ignore that little fact, and, have a SPRING SALE.

After all the purging last year, getting the garage in order has been a much easier process.  No, this is not my garage.  That would be a miracle.  This is my studio, and, I'll be selling from here too.

I'll be pulling things out all week.

Everything from rusty,

to sparkly,

and more, will be in the sale.

The sale will be this Friday, and, Saturday.  April 18th, and, 19th.  If you're local (Illinois/Indiana), send me an email (villabarnes@yahoo.com) for details.

I'll try to post more pics as I go through things.

See ya soon.

Chippy Angel and Another Magnetic Board

The garage, and, estate sales are starting here.  While I scoured the house of an estate sale, hubby spotted this adorable angel in the garage.

After we got her home, I found that one of my handmade crowns was a great fit.

I love her chippy finish.

This little ironstone pitcher was another find.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the warmer weather.  I've been working all day in the abyss (aka, my garage), painting, organizing, redesigning, etc.

Here's another magnetic board I finished.

She has a different feel than the board from my last post.

I gave the frame a weathered grey, and, white finish.

I'll be turning this piece of jewelry I painted into a magnet for her.

On another note:  Is anyone else having trouble with mail delivery when you leave a comment? My comments are showing up in the comment box, but, apparently blogger is not delivering the comment by email.  I get a delivery failure.  Frustrating.

Oh well.  Lots of projects to work on this weekend.

See ya soon.

Magnetic Lady and Wallpaper Happy

I'm back to making magnetic boards.

I'm using images from my roll of vintage wallpaper I unearthed at a sale last year.

It's a large roll.  I'm getting lots of projects out of it.  I'll share some of the other projects soon.

The frame is layered with the homemade paint from the Farragoz course.

The wallpaper has been applied to magnetic metal, and, cut to fit the frame.

With temperatures in the 50's (This feels rather warm after a winter of record lows), I've been working on projects all day.

As you can see, I'm a little wallpaper happy right now.  This tray was a salvaged table top. After my paint treatment,

I wallpapered the center.

This is another board in progress.  I'm finishing up the frame for this magnetic lady.

I have more painting, and, papering to do.
